SUPERVISORY STORE ASSOCIATE

About the Position: Serves as a first level Supervisory Store Associate, in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling front end activities and personnel, and controlling all funds received and deposited daily as part of the front-end department operation. Specific assignments vary by individual store and store management requirements.

If you are currently stationed in the overseas area, all of your overseas time will be credited toward your current overseas tour end date. Your overseas time served will not reset upon accepting this assignment. If you have returned from OCONUS within the past 2 years or less, your time previously served in the OCONUS area will be credited to your 5 year overseas rotation upon accepting this assignment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Leading and supervising multiple departments within a grocery store; 2) Utilizing automated systems to generate report; AND 3) Providing on-the-job training for new workers.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level in the federal service (GS-05) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Conflict Management Customer Service Developing Others Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
