Apprentices gain practical knowledge and skills across several mandatory areas, typically broken down into core modules. Child Development: Understanding how infants and young children learn, grow, and hit developmental milestones. Safeguarding: Implementing strict child protection, online safety, and security protocols. Health and Safety: Managing workplace hazards, identifying risks, and maintaining infection prevention and control.
Purposeful Play: Planning, setting up, and reviewing inclusive play activities that stimulate speech, language, and physical growth. Partnership Working: Assisting in observations, tracking key child progress, and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
The Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship is a work-based training designed for individuals starting a career in early childhood care and education. You will work directly with young children aged birth-five years old, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
You will be required to work within the nursery Monday through to Friday, either morning or afternoon sessions, these are considered contact hours. You will be paid additional non-contact hours to allow for online study and tutor meetings outside of your contact hours.
Level 3 Childcare Practitioner Apprenticeship
We are a local nursery well established in our community for over 30 years. We offer places for up to 28 children ages 2-4 years old on both full time and part time hours.
