Begin your career as an Apprentice CNC Operator. You'll work towards a Level 2 Engineering Operative qualification while learning to operate CNC machines, read engineering drawings and produce quality components. With full training and support, you'll develop practical engineering skills in a modern manufacturing environment.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
The successful candidate will undertake a fully funded engineering apprenticeship programme, designed to support the development of technical knowledge and practical engineering skills relevant to the forging industry. The training provider will be Train'd Up and you will attend 1 day per week via virtual classroom, accompanied by an assessor visit every 8–12 weeks.
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent CNC Operator position. With further experience and training, you'll have opportunities to progress into roles such as CNC Programmer, CNC Setter/Operator, Production Engineer or Manufacturing Supervisor, building a long-term career in engineering.
